VINAYAK DAMLE

IIT Bombay alumnus and formerly Senior Adviser Of Confederation of Indian Industry, a leading industry association which has over 50 offices outside India.

With over 30 years of experience in watershed development and natural resource management, Mr. Damle has been a pioneer in advancing sustainable solutions. Starting with action research to address water and agricultural livelihood gaps at the micro-watershed level, he has contributed to the development of assessment methodologies, planning models, and implementation strategies for integrated management of water, land, energy, agriculture, and biomass resources. An alumnus of IIT Bombay (B.Tech. in Civil Engineering), Mr. Damle co-developed the watershed basin-level Water Balance Model with SOPPECOM and spent 15 years with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CIl) in the Special Projects Department. These roles have solidified his expertise in systemic approaches to natural resource management, fostering innovative and actionable strategies for sustainable development.
