Sunil Khairnar is a agribusiness professional with over 32 years of experience in agriculture, social entrepreneurship, and venture development. A graduate in Agricultural Engineering and Management from IIM Ahmedabad, Sunil has been instrumental in shaping India’s agribusiness ecosystem through innovation, collaboration, and social impact initiatives.

Sunil has played a pivotal role in Co-founding and advising several successful social ventures like Agriwatch, ISAP India Foundation, and Indigram Labs Foundation, which have carved a niche in India’s agri-social and business landscape.

Key Highlights:

• Engages with nearly 500 startups annually, leveraging his expertise to evaluate over 1,000 ventures, and has guided investment decisions in approximately 70 startups, many of which address critical challenges in agriculture and rural economies.
• Helped establish one of India’s first agri-commodity research and consulting firms, Agriwatch, bridging information and knowledge gaps for all stakeholders.
• Currently mentoring and advising more than a dozen Indian and international startups, supporting their entry and growth in the Indian market.
• Created Indian Agriculture Professionals (IAP), a 150,000-member LinkedIn group which also has a counterpart on Facebook in multiple languages with a combined 425,000 strong membership, evolving into a digital extension platform and town hall for agriculture stakeholders in India and the Global South with a footprint of almost a million stakeholders.
